Aidan had his 4 month doctor's appointment today, and here are his stats:
Height: 25 1/4 inches
Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz
He is measuring at exactly average for his height, and is bigger than 2/3 of kids his age for his weight and head size! For a kid who struggled to gain weight in his first two weeks, he's getting to be quite the little chunker!
The doctor gave us the ok to start feeding him some solid food if we want, which I am pretty excited about! I'm not going to start him on that until after we get back from Florida, but I'm excited to see what his reactions will be like to the new foods. He already makes some pretty funny faces when we give him his medicine that he takes for acid reflux, and so I have a feeling that we're going to be getting some pretty good video footage as he tries out each of the new tastes.
On the flip side of this being a fantastic doctor's visit, Aidan had to get his 4 month shots today too :( I know they are for his benefit, but I just feel so bad every time he has to get them. Luckily, this time we were prepared and had some infant Tylenol on hand for when his fever flared up, just as it did when he got his 2 month shots (except last time I had to make a late-night run to Walmart to grab the Tylenol because he was just miserable without it). At least now we have two more months before we have to go through that again!
That's funny that he weighs 16lbs at 4 months. That's how much Lydia weighs and she's almost 11 months! Crazy how each baby grows differently. :)
